G20 riots in Toronto - downtown on lockdown

To be honest, I'm a little shocked. Canada has always prided itself on being a peaceful nation but thanks to the so-called Black Block gang of protestors that image is now tarnished.

The Black Block are an anarchist group responsible for inciting violence and widespread vandalism. They're known by wearing all black hoodies/masks/balaclavas and skateboard helmets.

Two cop cars are on fire now with many corporate buildings damaged. Protesters even surrounded police trying to protect their cars as reported by a CBC reporter.

Thousands of protestors are pushing forward forcing the police lines back in some areas although they have not breached the epicenter/yellow zone where the G20 summit is being held.

They are estimated the crowd at around 10,000 people so far, outnumbering police. Friday, there were 3000 anti-poverty protestors as well but they were peaceful.

The Eaton Centre is now being evacuated as well as many hotels and businesses in the core. Police have also had to disperse tear gas not far from Bay/Adelaide streets with other reports of pepper spray and rubber bullets in other areas.

Subway service in downtown Toronto has been suspended by the TTC, with no service for the time being in the loop between Bloor and St. George stations. As well, there are no streetcars running in the downtown core.

TORONTO, June 23, 2010 (REC) - Toronto was placed on tsunami alert early Wednesday afternoon after a 5.5 earthquake struck southern Ontario causing residents to panic, igniting a social media frenzy.

Environmentalists are calling for residents and motorists near the $2 million dollar fake lake built for the G20 summit by the Gardiner Expressway to be on high alert as wave heights could cause flooding on the popular Toronto highway.

So this just in... Toronto and surrounding areas just got hit by an earthquake measuring 5.5 on the richter scale at 1:45pm ET.

People are reporting feeling it as far north as Muskoka and as far south as New York and Philadelphia. Ottawa and Montreal have also reported feeling the tremors.

The earthquake hit the northeast border of Ontario and Quebec and lasted approximately 10 seconds.

The last time Toronto felt an earthquake of similar scale (5.4) was 12 years ago. Residents and workers have been evacuating their buildings looking for safe shelter.

Ok we ALL know 1 ninja can kick any pirate's ass, but TWO ninjas should have been able to take out this entire wedding party and still not be seen. This guy obviously hasn't seen the opening sequence of Ninja Assassin.

Perfect example you ask? I had ninjas at my wedding. Yeah that's right - ninjas AND elvis. No pirates for this guy. Like a true ninja, you didn't see him cause he was hiding in the shadows making sure Elvis didn't get outta line. Beat that.
